What is a Calla lily?  Beautiful by any name!

By its Latin name, they are called Zantedeschia aethiopicabut who cares?  We want to talk about beautiful live flowers, not dead languages.

Many people think of Calla lilies as “wedding” flowers, because they are so lovely, and often featured in bouquets and dinner table centerpieces, generally in white.

They come in many vibrant colours, too – red, orange, yellow, black, pink – oh my!  A virtual rainbow of Calla lilies.

Calla lilies are easy to grow and care for in pots. With some periodical attention, they bloom for weeks, even for months.

Want to keep them year round? Calla lilies don’t need to be spring/summer flowers, either – having them in your home is like a tropical vacation, when you can’t be in the tropics yourself.  Your Better Than BouquetsTM (BTBTM) planter comes with fun creatures too!

Mostly want to have them for the summer? No problem – everything in the planter is reusable/recyclable.

Once the blooming period ends and the plant itself is tired, lift the bulb, clean it up and put it to bed.   When they’re ready to get up again, usually in the spring, they will delight you again.

Need help to lift the bulb(s) for reuse as a learning experience? We’d love to show you how!

If you love them and want to share a few, you can cut some of your live flowers to make your own bouquet for a friend.  Or share the joy of having a live BTBTM planter with a friend too.

Ready to try them yourself?  Start small – whether already up and growing, or starting from a bulb you grow yourself – we can help!

Contact us to design your own BTBTM and turn it into a party to delight your friends!  Calla Lilies tend to make you want more plants, because they are so beautiful and spirit-lifting.  Give the gift of green wellness to yourself, and to others!
